Trapped or freed by Technique?

Uncategorized Oct 25, 2018

So if the truth shall set you free, does that also work with technique?

What do Kung Fu and Dance have in common?

This movement has aesthetic and symbolic value and is acknowledged as dance by performers and observers within a particular culture.

The master’s words about self exploration and self discipline and the definition in Wikipedia struck a chord with me as these explanations were also a perfect description of the HLT online training course.

One can dance for joy or to simply express oneself but the art of dance is on another level and requires self- exploration and self discipline. To dance in a way...

Definition of Insanity!

Uncategorized Oct 04, 2018

Hello Dancers!

It’s been said that training the same way over and over hoping to get a different result is the definition of insanity.

If you're someone who doesn't dance the way you should considering how hard you train, this is for you.

Start today and identify the area of your dancing that you want to change. Maybe it’s in the area of your foot actions, leg and knee actions, or hip actions. The improvement we all want is absolutely possible, but the first step before you can benefit from working harder is to work smarter.

Sam Sodano American Rhythm lecture at the 2017 Blackpool event.

Uncategorized Sep 23, 2017

May 2017 was a momentous year for American competitors at Blackpool; a collective sweep of the podiums and a historic occasion for American Smooth and Rhythm with the inclusion of Professional and Pro/am American Style competitive events.

Sam Sodano was honored to be invited by Bryan Allen, President of the British Dance Council, to once again present a lecture at the World Congress. The title of Sam’s lecture for this year was “Rhythm vs. Latin -What makes it different?”– and the theme of the Congress, “The Past, Present, and Future.”
